Excel Completes Project to Reduce Co2 Emissions
Over the past 27 years, the foundation of Excel Injection Molding, Inc.’s business has been to serve its customers well and always strive for continuous improvement. Excel recently completed a continuous improvement project focused on environmental stewardship.
The project was identified through participation in the Mississippi E3 program, which then led to participation in the Mississippi Industrial Energy Efficiency Program (MIEEP). Completed in June 2021, the project involved replacing all interior and exterior lighting with high efficiency LED lighting, as well as, replacing 20+ year old technology process cooling system motors with new high efficiency motors. According to MIEEP’s engineering study, the improvements will reduce Excel’s Co2 emissions by 117 tons/year. In addition to Co2 emissions reduction, it is estimated that energy and maintenance cost savings of $23,350 can be expected.
Excel Injection Molding, Inc. will continue to strive to reduce the environmental impact of its operations, as well as, strive to continuously improve in everything we do.
